Doctor Margaret Sears-DeMenthon offers a blend of traditional (aka allopathic), osteopathic, herbal, and homeopathic approaches to healing. Dr. Sears is a board-certified pediatrician who graduated from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine with honors. She is an elected member of the osteopathic fraternity, Sigma Sigma Phi. Upon completion of her pediatric residency at the University of Maryland in 1990, she practiced primary care pediatrics with a group of pediatricians in Ellicott City. Ten years later, in June 2000, she opened a practice in her home in Clarksville, Maryland. 
 Her husband is a senior scientist in computer vision and learning at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory.  
They have two adult sons who live in California, pursuing their internet dreams and a daughter whose talents and passions lie in animation and art.   

Lisa Smallwood  is our front desk helper who answers your phone calls when Dr. Sears is busy seeing patients.  She is working on her master's degree in dance education and is a talented choreographer of lyrical and modern dance.  She is married to an expert in communications and we think she is pretty good in that department too.
